Achim R. Schlöffel first I need to say again that the BZ-400 You gave me is by far the best
undergarment I ever had. I did 3 hours in 4° yesterday,. Suit failed
after 2 hours and even soaked for 1 hr I did not shiver. very cool!!! Achim R. Schlöffel If you would like to read about SANTI Undersuits' test - click the following address:
Andrew Georgitsis Ok Well I have put about 75 dives on the suit and was trying yo reach 100 to give a fair opionion. So far I like: The warmth. Extremely warm suit. And the warmth and material has lasted very well The quality and finish of the suit The cut (although it is too small for me..to short in the crotch) Great flexiblity in the suit. Not very bulky for th ewarmth provided. Quite streamline The inside zipper flap that protects the skin The neck collar is great The leg stirps Not so nice: The piping in the arms and waist. Although they do give good flexiblity The thumb loops broke immediately need to be better The leg length is too short (personal) The arm length is too short (personal). Scott Annis Santi makes an excellent MTM Thinsulate 400B undergarment. They also have 200B and 2 other even lighter weight products. And here's something different for us US based guys, this company is located in Poland! According to their website they have been making products for rescue, oil-rig workers, commercial divers, etc. in Europe for several years. There are some really nice features on this undergarment. I love the wrist cuffs especially. I did not like the way the cotton cuffs on my DUI Thinsulate suit would wick water up the sleeve with the slightest leak past my wrist seals. This design seems to greatly reduce that issue. Their site has a lot of info on the other details of construction, but when you see it you can really appreciate the quality of the construction. Plus, as I said, it's a custom fit. A real plus was dealing with these guys though. Get this. Fill in the measurement chart on their web site (19 measurements) when you place an order. I did mine on a Tuesday. On Friday, the product shipped. Yes, that same week. I took only a little over a week to get to me from Poland. With the shipping I paid considerably less than I would have for a stock Thinsulate 400 suit otherwise, much less a MTM product. The only downside is that they do not take credit card payments, so I had to wire transfer the funds from my bank to theirs, which incurs another $25 in bank fees. That process actually provided another demonstration of how upright these guys were in dealing with them. As I said, I placed the order on a Tuesday. Next day I go to my bank and transfer the funds, followed by an email to them saying the transfer was made. Thursday, they email back saying the funds were never received by their bank. I was out of town all week, so there wasn't much I could do until the following Monday. Tomasz Stachura, who was my contact person there all along, simply replied it was no problem as they "never had problems with divers in payment" and shipped the suit the next day. Without even being paid for it! Now that's customer service! Monday I found out the bank screwed up the account number of the bank in Poland, so I got it fixed and the payment was sent. Bottom line recommendation is if you're looking for a 200g or 400g compressed Thinsulate (Type B) undergarment, you can get a high quality, custom fit product from Santi and get treated well as a bonus. (Oh...almost forgot the nice Thinsulate watchcap they threw in for free!) Robert Klein We want to thank Tomek Stachura and SANTI for time spent, excellent work done and great patience during realization of Undersuit B 400. Andrzej Sala - Diving Club Jastarnia The SANTI Undersuit is produced by a man, who dives himself. That is why it meets all our needs. In my club I can see more and more pleased users of SANTI Undersuit. I would like to invite everyone to test SANTI Undersuits in my club in Jastarnia, tel. 0-604-777-383. Maciej Rułka I have been diving several times in winter in the Baltic Sea with a SANTI Undersuit The temperature of water was constant, about 3-4 degrees Celsius. Deep down from the surface, the Undersuit did very well, giving me full freedom and thermal comfort. During emerging the air freely escaped from the dry suit. I had a 40-mitute long decompression and I was warmer than in undersuits I had used before. I think in small depths you can feel the difference between the fleecy and polar lining, which having smaller density (elbow-room) takes as much room as thicker polar. This Undersuit has very useful elastic gussets in arms. Also very
good wide ankle bands, sewn outside the leg, so they do not make putting
the undersuit on difficult. Sebastian Popek The new SANTI Undersuit is the next one in my collection :-) I tested it for the first time during December diving in Franken. The best opinion would be to write that after almost 100-minute long dive in water at a temperature of 2-3 degrees I did not feel thermal discomfort. Elastic gussets in arms give me freedom to do everything under water (including turning the valves). The Undersuit fits perfectly, so there is no problem with air trapped inside it. I chose fleece lining, because I think it gives better thermal comfort during long diving. To sum up, I think SANTI Undersuits are the best on the market. Wojtek "Elwis" Jechna I am finally warm, I can wear it all day long, even after diving. Marek "Coton" Jagodziński I use it - and recommend it. Jarek Szawliński tel.0602615208 Recently I became a happy owner of an Undersuit produced by your company. Shortly: I am extremely satisfied with it. We were in Hancza. Four 40-meter deep dives during two days and nights and I was warm. I highly recommend this product. Congratulations for the man producing it. Michał "Mike" Adamski I have been using your Undersuit for 9 months and am very pleased with it, sometimes it is even too warm in it. I did flock diving once and had been in water for over 7 hours, I did not freeze, my partner - he had... oh no, I can't say, but I saw he was very cold. I highly recommend it, now I have to buy a thinner one for summer. Adrian "silver111" Kastura I bought from Tomek the Undersuit several months ago, but I give my opinion just now, after hard tests :D. This Undersuit is very warm - 4 degrees Celsius, over an hour dive with decompression is no problem. Minus 10 degrees on the surface is no problem too in this undersuit. It does not limit movements under water and is sewn very neatly. About buying - nice contact, quick service. SANTI is a good choice. Roman Szczypior I bought the Undersuit under neoprene a month ago, instead polar 190 - I chose 400. The undersuit is really warm under water. On the surface, in the cold wind, unfortunately my kidneys got cold through the elastic gusset in waist (this area needs some additional protection). The only minus is too long sleeves (about 10 cm), which I will had to shorten. In spite of these little doubts - I think this Undersuit is a good product and a cheap one too. After this opinion - to avoid similar problems in the future - we added in the order form a measurement called "Inside arm length measured from the wrist".
Marcin Chmura I guess I am one of the first owners of the Undersuit :) I am grateful for professional help in choosing and buying the undersuit.
Now I can't imagine diving in wet suit as much as in dry neoprene without
the Undersuit . Krzysztof Łoś - diver - PORP rescuer. Some time ago I bought a new generation Undersuit (with Thinsulate insulation) under neoprene. I have just had an occasion to test it in really cold water (4 deg C) and for quite a long time. The fact it is really warm (and I am thermophilic) is a half success. The most important thing is that it is well worked out and super comfortable. Elastic gussets in sleeves and waist give enough elbow-room. Soft polartec fills up the space inside the suit. It has an ingenious collar - warm and comfortable. It's good even after diving - but at the moment (17 deg. C) a bit too warm. SANTI warm socks are a good supplement. Tomek SUPER - thank you once again. Krzysztof Łoś Last week I got my new Undersuit (I changed my neoprene suit for a trilaminate one). The Undersuit had been made during one day (I had no time to lose) and delivered to me (thank you very much). I had a small dilemma if I should choose either or a thicker one - I relied on Tomek - cause I worried it could be either too cold or too thick without enough elbow room. In my case plus thermal underwear worked just fine. Over one hour in water at temperature of 5-6 deg C and I was warm after getting out. Comfort, easiness of putting on - these aren't meaningless features. I recommend. Marek Kańduła Undersuit - I have been using this undersuit for quite a short time and diving in it for five times, also in cold water and I am totally satisfied with its insulation ability as well as aesthetical realization. I was also nicely surprised the undersuit fitted my body very well, although I ordered my undersuit via internet and didn't try it for size. The advantage of the SANTI Undersuit over the undersuits bought in a shop, where we have to buy a model sewn according to standards of a producer "X", is that in SANTI you can buy an undersuit sewn especially for you, what guarantees that your suit fits you and is comfortable. I highly recommend quick and professional service. Kuba Beszczyński Undersuit - I write this opinion after the first dive, I have had it for two days, but already managed to do a test :). Date: Dec 17, 2005, water temperature: 2 deg C - effect: you can get hot before going to water, and after over 20 minutes (if not cold hands I could stay longer) I was very warm. To compare, two weeks earlier I dived at the same place, at the temperature of 3 deg C, with two polartec sweatshirts and was cold after 11 minutes. After I got out of water it started to snow and, although my undersuit was wet outside, thermal comfort remained unchanged. This Undersuit is simply great. PS. additional plus is a very good service in the company. Michał Piechocki I have BZ-400, because I am always cold, and finally I am warm, Christmas dive at the temp. of 2 deg C and no shivering, regards, Michal. Bartosz Witalis I have been diving with SANTI Undersuit for several years. I bought a quilted one and was very pleased. Unfortunately I lost it during my last work in Northern Port (it sank into water and drifts somewhere with "Witalis" stitched on the back - ladies and gents divers - GIVE IT BACK to me). I had to buy something because I had to finish my work. I turned to Tomek and... it appeared he hadn't been sleeping during all these years. New SANTI Undersuits are GREAT. At once I became a happy owner of and BZ 400. I would like to thank you for your professionalism and an ability to listen to your clients. Marcin Kozlowicz BZ-400 Andrew - my order was realized in professionally, quickly and accurately. The Undersuit I ordered is sewn very well and made-to-measure. I haven't dived with it yet, but it is comfortable under the dry suit and easy to reach the valves. In future I will definitely make more orders in SANTI. A free hat will be very useful. Tomek - thanks a lot. I would like to add something. I recommend BZ-400 Andrew to every diver. Marcin K |
